REFRIGERANT GAS R407C (11.3KG/CAN) - BRAND iGAS

Category: iGas

Specifications
Details

407C is a hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerant that is commonly used in air conditioning and refrigeration systems. It is a blend of three HFC refrigerants: R32, R125, and R134a.

R407C has a moderate global warming potential (GWP) of 1774, which is lower than some other commonly used refrigerants, such as R410A. However, it is still considered to be a high-GWP refrigerant and is being phased down under the Montreal Protocol due to its impact on the environment.

R407C has a boiling point of -43.8°C (-46.8°F) and a dew point of -32.7°C (-26.9°F) at standard atmospheric pressure. It is used as a replacement for ozone-depleting refrigerants such as R22, which has been phased out in many countries due to its harmful effects on the ozone layer.

R-407C is a mixture of hydrofluorocarbons used as a refrigerant. It is a zeotropic blend of difluoromethane (R-32), pentafluoroethane (R-125), and 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane (R-134a). Difluoromethane serves to provide the heat capacity, pentafluoroethane decreases flammability, tetrafluoroethane reduces pressure.R-407C cylinders are colored burnt orange.

This refrigerant is intended as a replacement for R-22. R-22 production will be phased out by 2020 as per the Montreal Protocol.
